The Lana opened in February 2024, Dorchester Collection's first hotel anywhere in the Middle East. The 30-storey tower, by Foster + Partners, sits on the Dubai Water Canal in Business Bay, overlooking the yachts of Marasi Bay Marina, with interiors by the Parisian studio Gilles & Boissier and a commissioned art collection of more than 50 pieces. It is the most considered piece of new luxury hospitality the city has produced since 2020, a deliberate alternative to the gold-and-glass theatre that defines much of Dubai luxury.
There are 225 rooms and suites, each with an outdoor terrace and floor-to-ceiling glass. There are eight restaurants and bars across the property. The signature, Riviera by Jean Imbert, is the celebrated French chef's first Dubai address, serving French and Italian Riviera cooking. Jara by Martín Berasategui brings the multi-Michelin Basque chef's cooking to Dubai; Bonbon Café by Angelo Musa handles the pastry; and High Society, the rooftop bar, has the most considered cocktail programme in Business Bay. The UAE's first Dior Spa sits on the 29th floor, five treatment rooms with downtown skyline views, alongside a rooftop infinity pool.
The Lana has, in 2026, established itself as the Dubai address for the guest who wants the city's most considered piece of design and precise European-style five-star service, at a deliberate distance from the Palm. The clientele is repeat: business travellers and design-literate Europeans who want the Foster + Partners pedigree and the Dorchester service signature in a city that increasingly trades on theatre. For DIFC deal trips and milestone city stays, this is the deliberate Dubai answer. Leisure travellers set on the beach should pair it with a coastal stay, because Business Bay is firmly inland.
