Seventeen openings from 2022 through 2026, each opening date re-checked in June 2026.
Aman New York leads our ranking of 17 verified luxury openings from 2022 through 2026. The 2024 class brought Janu Tokyo and The Emory in London; 2025 added Rosewood Amsterdam, Capella Taipei, Waldorf Astoria Osaka and Orient Express La Minerva; March 2026 delivered Six Senses London at The Whiteley and the Imperial Hotel, Kyoto in Gion; and on April 24, 2026 COMO reopened the 1914 Le Beauvallon estate above the Gulf of Saint-Tropez. Every opening date and room count was re-checked in June 2026.
The shape of the list: five settled flagships from 2022 and 2023, five from the 2024 class, four from 2025, and three 2026 arrivals that are simply too new to rank higher. Aman New York, open since 2022 with 83 suites in the Crown Building, shows the pattern we reward, a property that still feels new in its design but no longer in its service. By contrast, the 2025 and 2026 entries sit lower not because they are worse hotels but because twelve settled months are worth more to a guest than any launch party.
For what is opening next rather than what has already opened, our reported calendars cover the United States, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean and Mexico and the Middle East and Africa and the Indian Ocean through 2027, with the longer horizon in our 2027 openings report. For a ranked cut of Asia's confirmed 2026 arrivals, with the points angle on each, see new luxury hotels in Asia 2026, and for the Gulf and Saudi Red Sea the honest cut is new luxury hotels in the Middle East 2026.

Where official materials disagree, we say so rather than pick a number. Bvlgari's own pages list both 106 and 114 keys for Rome; Atlantis The Royal's room count was not re-confirmed against a primary source this quarter, so we leave the cell honest and empty of a guess.
What a brand-new hotel does not buy you: settled service. Expect the odd misfire in restaurants and housekeeping during the first year of any opening on this page from 2025 onward, and price accordingly. New flagships rarely discount at launch, so the value play is usually the 2022 to 2023 class, where the product is proven and the novelty premium has faded.

London hotel guide →"A 1461 lakeside schloss on Lake Fuschl, famous from the Sissi films, reopened by Rosewood in July 2024 with 98 rooms. The rare 2024 opening where the building is the asset and the brand just had to not ruin it."

Rome hotel guide →"The brand's first UK hotel, opened March 2026 at The Whiteley in Bayswater: 109 rooms and suites plus 14 residences, wellness-led where Mayfair goes formal. Too new to rank higher; we will revisit once it has a settled year behind it."
London hotel guide →"Opened March 5, 2026 in Gion: 55 rooms inside the restored 1936 Yasaka Kaikan, the Imperial's first new hotel in three decades. Ask for one of the eight North Wing rooms, the first tatami rooms the Imperial has ever built. Too new to rank higher; we will revisit once it has settled."
Kyoto hotel guide →"Reopened April 24, 2026 above the bay at Grimaud: a 1914 Belle Epoque estate restored by COMO, 42 rooms and suites, a COMO Shambhala spa and a Yannick Alleno kitchen. You reach Saint-Tropez itself by the hotel's own eight-minute speedboat across the water, which is the charm and the catch at once, since the village is a boat ride rather than a stroll. Summer rates open near 840 euros. The freshest arrival on this page, and by our own rule the least settled."
Europe openings calendar →Six Senses London, which opened in March 2026 at The Whiteley in Bayswater with 109 rooms and suites plus 14 branded residences, the brand's first UK property. London also gained The Emory (61 suites, 2024) and Mandarin Oriental Mayfair (50 rooms and suites, June 2024) in this period.
Four of the seventeen hotels on this list opened in 2025: Waldorf Astoria Osaka (April 3, 252 rooms), Capella Taipei (April, 86 rooms), Orient Express La Minerva in Rome (April 7, 93 rooms including 36 suites) and Rosewood Amsterdam (May 1, 134 rooms in the former Palace of Justice).
Because the ranking rewards how an opening settles, not how loudly it launches. Aman New York opened in 2022 with 83 suites in the Crown Building and has had three full years to stabilize service while keeping its design impact, which no 2025 or 2026 opening can yet demonstrate.
Rosewood placed two openings on this list, Schloss Fuschl near Salzburg in July 2024 and Amsterdam in May 2025. The Aman group also counts two if you include Janu Tokyo, the sister brand that debuted in Azabudai Hills on March 13, 2024.
André Fu had an unusual double: he designed the interiors of both Capella Taipei, developed with Mori Building Group, and Waldorf Astoria Osaka, which occupies floors 28 to 38 of the Grand Front Osaka South Building.
Every opening date and room count was checked in June 2026 against the hotel's or parent brand's own announcements and press releases. Hotels whose claimed dates could not be confirmed, and hotels that opened before 2022, were removed from the ranking.
The Imperial Hotel, Kyoto, which opened on March 5, 2026 in the Gion district inside the restored 1936 Yasaka Kaikan, a nationally registered cultural property. It has 55 rooms and is the Imperial brand's first new hotel in three decades, with eight North Wing rooms built with tatami flooring, a first for the Imperial.
COMO Le Beauvallon, a 1914 Belle Epoque estate above the Gulf of Saint-Tropez at Grimaud, reopened under COMO on April 24, 2026 after a full restoration. It has 42 rooms and suites, a COMO Shambhala spa and a private jetty whose complimentary eight-minute speedboat shuttles guests across the bay to Saint-Tropez proper. Summer 2026 rates start around 840 euros a night, and the dining is led by Yannick Alleno.
