Masseria Torre Maizza opened in 2019 as Rocco Forte Hotels' Italian flagship — the brand's first standalone Italian property after several other Italian properties were operated under collaborative arrangements — in a restored 16th-century fortified watchtower-masseria near Savelletri di Fasano.
