"Anacapri, Capri's contemporary-art hotel, walking distance to the Faraglioni boat, the Capri-leg of an Amalfi anniversary."
Capri Palace is Jumeirah's only Italian hotel, an Anacapri landmark that first opened in 1960 and joined the Jumeirah group in 2019. It has 68 rooms and suites; the top-tier Megaron suites come with their own outdoor pools and pieces from the hotel's art collection, which is the property's signature, including works by Igor Mitoraj. The in-house L'Olivo holds two Michelin stars, the only two-star restaurant on Capri. The hotel suits the multi-stop Amalfi anniversary where Capri is the island leg, typically a few nights here after Positano or Ravello. Anacapri, up the hill, is the quieter half of the island, away from the Capri Town crowds; the morning walk down to the Faraglioni boat launch takes about 15 minutes, with the hotel shuttle handling the climb back. The honest trade-off is that elevation: Capri Town sits well below, so an evening down in the harbour means a shuttle rather than a stroll.
A Megaron suite with private pool for the flagship, or a Junior Suite Sea View for a more moderate splurge.
Book L'Olivo for the anniversary dinner; the two-Michelin-star terrace is the obvious centrepiece. Take the hotel shuttle to the Faraglioni boat-launch at 9am for the morning Capri circuit. Walk to Anacapri's Punta Carena lighthouse at sunset.
Capri Palace Jumeirah sits within our broader Top 20 Hotels on the Amalfi Coast for an Anniversary list. It scored an aggregate 9.7/10 across the three editorial criteria, competitive against the field but, on an anniversary-specific factors, the angle above is what earned its rank. For the alternatives in the same Amalfi Coast neighbourhood, see Anacapri (Capri) and adjacent. For a different city entirely, see the related lists below.
Have firm dates? Our editor's advice is to book roughly twelve weeks in advance. Expect the best-positioned suites to go early; in the busy season the lead time is months, not weeks. Suites with a private plunge pool or terrace, the very rooms behind this rank, usually vanish first.
