Hotel Villa Cimbrone occupies the historic Cimbrone estate, of medieval origin, on the Ravello plateau. Its draw is the Terrace of Infinity, the most photographed terrace on the Amalfi Coast, lined with marble busts above a sheer drop to the Gulf of Salerno; Greta Garbo and Leopold Stokowski famously stayed here during their 1938 romance.
