Westin Nanea Ocean Villas opened in April 2017 on the north end of Ka'anapali, just past Honua Kai, as the newest of the bay's condo-resort properties and the most family-ready of them. Its 390 apartment-style villas range up to the three-bedroom layouts that suit a multi-generation group, each with a full kitchen and washer-dryer. The draw is the post-2017 product itself: newer construction, modern Hawaiian interiors, contemporary kitchen-and-bath finishes and the Westin Heavenly Bed in every unit. The on-site Pu'uhonua O Nanea Cultural Center runs the daily children's programme, the deepest cultural offering of any Ka'anapali resort, with hula, lei-making, ukulele and Hawaiian-language sessions. Best for the family that wants new-build space and genuine cultural programming over beachfront-cluster convenience; the trade-off is the location, north of central Ka'anapali, which leaves the main resort row (Hyatt, Westin Maui, Sheraton) a roughly 15-minute walk away.
