The Foundry Hotel Asheville opened in 2018 in three connected former-steel-foundry buildings on The Block — the historic Black neighbourhood at the southern edge of downtown Asheville, where the Asheville Steel Foundry forged the structural steel for the Biltmore House and the Grove Park Inn during the early twentieth century.
