The Hilton Sandestin opened in 1983 and has been the anchor beachfront resort on the Panhandle for four decades. The 590-room property occupies a 14-acre stretch of Miramar Beach within the 2,400-acre Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort complex, with direct private access to a kilometre of sugar-white Gulf sand. The architecture is two 14-storey beachfront towers with private balconies on every Gulf-side room; recent renovations have brought the public areas, restaurants, and 95 percent of the room stock to current condition without disturbing the operational rhythm.
