Hotel Effie opened in 2021 as the Sandestin master plan's first true luxury proposition and joined the Marriott Autograph Collection a year later. The 250-room tower sits on Grand Sandestin Boulevard overlooking the Baytowne Wharf marina inside the 2,400-acre Sandestin resort. The architecture is contemporary rather than coastal vernacular, an eight-storey clean-line structure named for Sandestin developer J.C. Nickel's grandmother Effie.
