La Siesta Premium Hang Be opened on 18 November 2017 as the flagship Old Quarter property of the Vietnamese-owned Elegance Hospitality Group — a family-run hotel collection founded in 2007 by hotelier Le Quoc Viet and now operating eleven boutiques across Hanoi, Hoi An and Sapa, all with the deliberate "Vietnamese hospitality at premium-boutique scale" positioning. The Hang Be address is at 27 Hang Be Street in the heart of the 36-streets Old Quarter — a deliberately tight Vietnamese-merchant-house footprint of nine floors built directly on the original early-1900s Vietnamese-shophouse plot, with the building's contemporary glass-and-stone facade rising from a deliberately discreet Vietnamese-vernacular ground floor.

The 51 rooms — including 4 suites — are deliberately compact at 22 to 32 square metres for standard categories, reflecting the heritage-shophouse footprint of the Old Quarter. The Premium Suite at 45 square metres is the milestone unit, with a private balcony overlooking Hang Be Street and the morning-market traffic; the Junior Suite categories include free-standing copper bathtubs in the bedroom (a deliberately theatrical decoration choice). Bathrooms are travertine and brass; bath products are local Vietnamese-made La Siesta-branded oils.

The Red Bean is the headline Vietnamese restaurant on the second floor — running a contemporary Vietnamese tasting menu with strong reviews across the international press. Cloud9 — the property's signature feature — is the rooftop bar at the top of the building, with 270° views over the Old Quarter rooftops and the most-photographed view of the historic centre from any hotel in Hanoi (small at 28 covers, but with the unambiguous view advantage). The Le Spa programme runs four treatment rooms; there is no pool. The four-star classification reflects the absence of the indoor pool and the larger-suite categories, not service or room quality, both of which are at the upper end of the Hanoi boutique tier.

For travellers wanting the Old Quarter address with the Vietnamese family-hospitality register at the four-star price tier — particularly for solo travellers and design-conscious couples not booking the international-five-star tier — La Siesta is the unambiguous Hanoi answer.
