The Hotel

Sofitel Mexico City Reforma opened in 2019 in a 38-floor contemporary glass tower on Paseo de la Reforma — between the Diana Cazadora and Avenida Insurgentes — as Sofitel's Mexico City flagship and one of the more recent additions to the Reforma luxury hotel concentration. The architecture is contemporary modernist by the Mexican firm Sordo Madaleno (responsible for several other major Mexican luxury hotels including Nizuc, Andaz Mayakoba, and Banyan Tree Mayakoba); the interior design integrates Sofitel's French-luxury aesthetic with Mexican modernist materials.

The 275 accommodations split between the entry-level Superior Rooms (with city or partial-Reforma views from the lower floors), Luxury Rooms with floor-to-ceiling windows, the Suites with extended living spaces, the Imperial Suite (a flagship category), and the Presidential Suite. The harbour-equivalent (in Mexico City terms) Reforma views from the upper floors include direct sightlines to Chapultepec Park, the Castle, and the broader Reforma boulevard. The interiors are warm contemporary modern with substantial marble surfaces.

The grounds — the rooftop infinity pool on the 38th floor overlooking Chapultepec (one of the most distinctive luxury hotel pools in Mexico City), the Sofitel Spa, the fitness centre, the Cinq Mondes wellness brand partnership, and the multi-restaurant complex — make the Sofitel comprehensively-equipped. The 38th-floor pool's sunset views over Chapultepec are the property's signature feature.

Dining is at three main restaurants. Cityzen is the headline French-Mexican fusion fine-dining on the upper floors. Balcón del Zócalo is the all-day Mexican-traditional. Cinq Mondes is the lobby bar with the brand's signature cocktail programme. The wine programme is heavily French and Mexican-focused. Service is the consistent global Sofitel French-luxury standard delivered by a heavily Mexican team. Sofitel Mexico City Reforma is the polished modern Reforma-tower luxury answer at a more accessible rate ceiling than Four Seasons or St. Regis.

Best Occasion Fit

Anniversary

The Mexico City anniversary at the polished modern Reforma tower. Book a Luxury Room from a higher floor for the Reforma-and-Chapultepec view. Cityzen French-Mexican fine-dining; the rooftop pool at sunset; the Sofitel Spa programme. The polished modern setting and the more accessible rate ceiling produce a polished anniversary at scale.

Business

Sofitel Mexico City Reforma is one of the Mexican capital's primary business-luxury hotels. The Sofitel French-luxury operational discipline, the substantial meeting facilities, and the Reforma central business location work for corporate stays. Cityzen and Cinq Mondes serve as Mexico City corporate-meeting venues.

Family Holiday

Sofitel's larger-tower scale provides the family-luxury infrastructure (multi-bedroom suites, comprehensive kids' programme, the rooftop pool) that the smaller boutique options at Las Alcobas cannot. The proximity to Chapultepec Park (Mexico City's primary family attraction) is a primary advantage. The polished family-luxury Mexico City answer.
