Myconian Ambassador opened in 2008 above the north end of Platis Gialos beach as the Daktylides family's first deliberate move into the wellness register. Markos and Eleni's children — second-generation operators by then — had identified that the international thalasso movement (the Reybier family at La Réserve, the Six Senses portfolio expansion, the Aman Junkie wellness flag) had found no Greek answer, and the Ambassador was conceived as the response. The Anamnesia Thalasso Spa is the property's central proposition. Designed in 2008 as the first heated-seawater thalassotherapy circuit on the island, it runs to 1,200 square metres across two storeys with eight treatment rooms, a 22-metre indoor seawater pool, an outdoor circular thalassotherapy pool with eight different jet stations, a hammam, an experience shower, a salt cabin, and a relaxation room with sea views. The wellness programme runs partner retreats with Pure Altitude, Spa & Mineral, and the Aegean Botanical Skincare line developed locally. Mediterraneo is the principal restaurant — Greek-Italian, with a vegetable-forward seasonal card; Ekthesi runs all-day Mediterranean by the main pool.

The general manager has been in role since 2018; head spa therapist since 2010; the operating culture, like every Myconian Collection property, is genuinely owner-led rather than corporate.
