Canaves Oia Epitome opened in 2017 as the third property in the Chaidemenos family's Canaves Oia portfolio (after Canaves Oia Suites in 1985 and Canaves Oia Boutique in 2002), and as the family's deliberate response to the international shift toward all-villa, every-pool-private inventory that defined the late-2010s luxury programme. The property sits on the eastern Oia headland — a four-minute walk from Canaves Oia Suites, an eight-minute walk from the central Oia sunset platform — on a quieter section of the cliff face that still delivers full west-facing sunset visibility from every villa terrace.
The 26 villas are arranged in five categories. Suites with Plunge Pool are the entry — 60 square metres, a separate bedroom, an outdoor four-by-three private heated plunge pool with caldera view, and the property's signature volcanic-stone terrace floor. Pool Suites add a 7-metre infinity pool. The headline category, the Anatolian Pavilion, is a 110-square-metre two-storey villa with a 10-metre infinity pool, a private outdoor hammam, an outdoor dining pavilion, and a separate sunbathing terrace — the most-photographed villa category in Oia. The kitchen runs a 7-course tasting menu by chef Tasos Mantis with the strongest contemporary Greek wine programme in Oia. Pure Mansion is the all-day pool restaurant; Anatolian Pavilion has its own private chef-on-call programme that delivers tasting menus to the villa terrace. The 4-treatment-room Pure Spa runs an Aegean-botanical programme with personalised face and body protocols. Every villa has a personal butler.
