The Hotel

Palm Heights opened in January 2020, the deeply-restored 1970s Seven Mile Beach property under British design-collector Gabriella Khalil's family ownership. The original 1970s structure was acquired by Khalil's family in 2015 for the conversion to a luxury design-hotel; the architectural-and-interior brief was given to New York architect Patrick Burke (the Brooklyn-based architect who handled most of the higher-end New York design-hotel restorations of the 2010s); and the five-year restoration committed to preserving the original 1970s tropical-modernist architectural envelope while inserting contemporary-art-and-design elements across every public space. Palm Heights is the most-considered Caribbean design-hotel opening of the post-2020 segment.

The 52 keys are spread across the restored 1970s tropical-modernist building. Categories run from entry-tier Garden View Rooms (35 sqm) through Ocean View Rooms (45 sqm) to multi-bedroom Suites (75-150 sqm) and the named Penthouse Suite (200 sqm, the property's milestone unit, top-floor with private rooftop terrace and direct Seven-Mile-Beach sightline).
