ME Ibiza opened in May 2014 as the conversion of an existing Meliá property on the S'Argamassa beach in Santa Eulalia into the Spanish group's first ME-branded resort in the Balearics. ME by Meliá is the company's adults-only contemporary-design line — sister properties run in Madrid, Mallorca, Cabo, Sitges and Dubai — and the Ibiza property functions as the brand's beach flagship and the venue at which it operates the most consistent year-on-year DJ programme. Every room received a soft refurbishment in 2024 to bring beds, bathrooms and in-room technology current; the design palette stayed deliberately consistent with the original 2014 aesthetic. ME Suites or Personality Suites are the right rooms; Nikki Beach and Babel handle the marquee meals; the hotel's concierge runs a competent restaurant and club book in Ibiza Town.
