The Hotel

The St. Regis Singapore opened in April 2008 at 29 Tanglin Road — the brand's first Asian flagship outside Beijing and the first new-build St. Regis to be designed from the ground up to incorporate the brand's signature 24-hour butler service into every guest room. The architectural register, by Hong Kong's HBA, leans neoclassical-residential: a slender 18-storey tower set behind a deeply landscaped circular drive and porte-cochère, with the ground-level public spaces — lobby, library, drawing room — configured to feel residential rather than commercial. The interior is dressed with one of the most considered private hotel art collections in Singapore: works by Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Joan Miró, and Fernando Botero are integrated through public spaces, and a working concierge-led tour of the collection is offered weekly. The property completed a comprehensive guest-room refresh in 2023 and now sits firmly among Singapore's top five hotels.

There are 299 rooms and suites across the property — generous standard inventory by central Singapore tier-one hotel standards. The Deluxe Rooms run to 50 square metres; the Caroline Astor Suites and Empire Suites to 90; the Presidential Suite, on the top floor, runs to 350 square metres with a private dining room, a butler's pantry, and full Botanic Gardens-and-Orchard sightlines. Every room — including standard Deluxe — receives the brand's signature 24-hour Butler Service: unpacking on arrival, suit-pressing without surcharge, beverage requests delivered without front-desk friction, and the small ongoing accommodations that make the standard St. Regis stay feel domestic. The 2023 guest-room refresh introduced potable hot-and-cold water on tap, casting-enabled TV, Bluetooth soundbar in every room, and refreshed marble bathrooms with deep soaking tubs and Diptyque amenities.

Yan Ting, the property's signature Cantonese dining room, runs the most considered hotel Cantonese kitchen in the Tanglin/Orchard cluster — the dim sum lunch programme on Saturdays and Sundays is the city's most-booked at this tier. LaBrezza, the lobby Italian dining room, opened with the property and runs a working chef's-table programme with a focus on northern Italian regional cooking; Brasserie Les Saveurs, on the lobby level, runs a French-classical kitchen; Decanter, the wine-and-cocktail bar, runs an extensive Old World wine list that is the city's most considered hotel cellar. Astor Bar, set against the Picasso La Lecture and a working fireplace, runs the property's signature Bloody Mary programme — the cocktail invented at the original New York St. Regis by Fernand Petiot in 1934 — every evening at sunset. Afternoon tea is served daily in the Drawing Room.

The Remède Spa runs across two floors with eight treatment rooms and the brand's signature Remède treatment programme. There are two outdoor pools — a 25-metre lap pool and a separate family pool with paddling area — set into the rear gardens of the property; the 24-hour fitness centre includes a Pilates and barre studio. The location is the practical advantage: directly opposite the Botanic Gardens MRT station, three minutes' walk to the Singapore Botanic Gardens (UNESCO World Heritage), five minutes' walk to the foot of Orchard Road and Wheelock Place. Embassy Park — Singapore's diplomatic precinct, where the British, American, and Australian high commissions sit — is across the road. Changi Airport is 25–30 minutes by car; the Botanic Gardens MRT connects to the rest of the city in twenty minutes.
