Lupaia is a country estate dating to 1622, set on a hilltop above Torrita di Siena, between Montepulciano and Pienza in the Val d'Orcia UNESCO landscape. The property changed hands several times over the centuries before Heidi and Christopher Mueller — German entrepreneurs with a long-standing connection to this part of Tuscany — bought it in 2016 and undertook a comprehensive restoration. The 12 rooms and suites — every one individually furnished and named (Master Suite Lupaia, Suite Montepulciano, Suite Vigna, Suite San Biagio, Junior Suites Nido, Oliva, Serra, Orto, Standard Aurora, Standard Bassa, Deluxe Cigno) — are distributed across the original farmhouse and a smaller adjoining building.
