Ayurveda is India's 5,000-year wellness tradition. The luxury Ayurvedic hotels that take it seriously offer multi-day, doctor-led programmes. The single-day treatments at non-specialist hotels are not the same thing.
What real Ayurveda delivers
A doctor-led consultation determines your dosha (vata, pitta, kapha) constitution. Treatment plan tailored to constitution and current imbalances. Multi-day programme with daily treatments, herbal medicines, dietary guidance, and yoga/meditation.
Common programmes:
- 7-day Panchakarma (cleanse): full detoxification protocol
- 14-day Rasayana (rejuvenation): post-cleanse rebuilding
- 21-day full programme: cleanse + rejuvenation
