The quieter sibling. Canyon Ranch Spa, a rooftop pool deck, and suites that begin where most hotels stop.
The Palazzo opened in 2008 as the all-suite expansion of The Venetian, designed to deliver a slightly more grown-up version of the original property's Italian fantasia. The two hotels share a casino floor, a spa, a shopping concourse, and most ancillary services, but operate from separate towers with separate driveways and separate lobbies. The Palazzo's lobby — a barrel-vaulted atrium with a glass dome, a centerpiece fountain, and seasonal floral installations that rotate quarterly — strikes a less theatrical register than The Venetian's gondola-canal entry, and that is the property's central proposition: the same address, with less of the costume.
There are 3,068 suites across the Palazzo tower, all configured with separate living areas, sunken sitting rooms, and Italian marble bathrooms. Standard Luxury Suites begin at 720 square feet. The Bella Suite category, popular with families and couples, runs 940 square feet and includes a partial glass divider rather than a wall between sleeping and living spaces. The Prima Suite reaches 1,290 square feet with two flat-screens, a dining table for four, and a half-bath in the entry vestibule. Penthouse Suites occupy the upper floors at 2,500 to 8,000 square feet. The interior design language — silk wall coverings, Carrara marble, traditional millwork — is Italian classical reading rather than Italian theme-park, and the rooms have aged accordingly.
Canyon Ranch Spa & Fitness, shared with The Venetian, is the largest single spa facility in Las Vegas at 134,000 square feet across three floors. The programme runs as a true wellness club rather than a hotel-spa appendage: forty-foot indoor rock-climbing wall, Pilates studio, cycling gym, Aquavana hydrotherapy circuit (the only North American installation), salt grotto, crystal steam rooms, and a roster of classes that includes acupuncture, nutrition consults, and physical therapy. For Palazzo guests, access is via a private elevator from the third floor of the tower, which makes the spa more genuinely accessible than at most Strip hotels of this size.
The Azure Pool Deck on the rooftop is the Palazzo's underrated amenity — a quieter, adults-friendlier pool environment than The Venetian's downstairs pool deck or the larger party-pool venues elsewhere on the Strip. Restaurant Row off the casino floor includes Bouchon Bistro from Thomas Keller, Carbone, Sushisamba, Mott 32, Lavo, and the Black Tap burger shop; the Grand Canal Shoppes is accessible via skybridge. The Sands Expo Convention Center is connected directly to the casino floor, which makes the Palazzo the operationally easiest convention hotel in Las Vegas for groups attending CES, MAGIC, or any of the other major Strip-anchored shows.
The Palazzo is the most operationally complete business hotel on the Strip. The Sands Expo Convention Center is connected by air-conditioned skybridge directly to the casino floor — a five-minute door-to-door commute from suite to keynote. The all-suite room layout, with separate sitting room and dedicated work area, accommodates client-facing meetings without needing to book additional space. Bouchon's breakfast room, set inside a glass conservatory, has hosted more deal-breakfasts than any other restaurant on the Strip. The 24-hour business center, dedicated executive concierge, and the suite WiFi (which is fast enough to actually run a video call) make the property the default choice for a serious business stay. A Prima Suite with the rooftop pool deck within walking distance, a Canyon Ranch couples treatment, dinner at Carbone, then a Bouchon brunch — the property delivers an anniversary itinerary that doesn't require leaving the building, and yet doesn't feel cooped up. The Penthouse Suites, when available, offer the kind of 2,500-square-foot footprint that converts a milestone anniversary into the kind of room booking that gets remembered.
