Montage Kapalua Bay is the all-residence (no standard hotel rooms) Kapalua property, every accommodation is a one-bedroom, two-bedroom, three-bedroom, or four-bedroom residence with full kitchen, separate living room, and private outdoor space. The hotel operates 50 of these residences (ranging from 2,789 to roughly 4,055 square feet) on the cliff-and-beach complex above Kapalua Bay, the snorkel-protected bay on Maui's north-west coast; the three-bedroom is the family flagship and the four-bedroom takes the multi-generational booking. The point of the format is the kitchen and separate living room: a family does not eat restaurant meals three times a day for a week, since breakfast and lunch happen in the residence and the resort restaurants handle dinner.
