The Lotte hotel group (Korean) bought the property from the Helmsley estate in 2015 and runs it as the East-Asian-business-traveller's New York headquarters. The address is at the natural Madison-Avenue meeting axis — Saint Patrick's Cathedral is across the street, the Helmsley Tower is around the corner, the Park Avenue cluster is two blocks east.
