Iconic Santorini is the hotel that occupies the cliff just south of Skaros Rock, the geological feature that anchors Imerovigli and produces the best inverse-Oia sunset photograph on the island. Mikrasia (the hotel's cliffside restaurant) is one of the most romantic dinner rooms on the caldera and consistently the best-reviewed Imerovigli kitchen. The hotel's geographical position is its asset: from the cliff terrace, the view extends from the Skaros promontory directly below to the Oia tip in the distance, the wider angle than any single Oia hotel can offer. Reserve Mikrasia for night two and book the cliff-edge two-top. The Skaros Rock walk afterwards (ten minutes down, twenty minutes back) is the best post-dinner experience in Imerovigli, the Skaros chapel at the rock's tip is empty after 9pm.
