Do not confuse it with Summer Pavilion, a different one-star Cantonese restaurant at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore; the names are nearly identical and the mix-up is constant. Basilico covers Italian, and Manhattan is the bar, one of the most decorated hotel bars in Asia and a destination in its own right rather than a lobby afterthought. What the location does give you is the quieter Tanglin end of Orchard, which suits a morning walk far better than the crowded stretch further east.
