Music City has acquired a hotel scene that its reputation as a bachelorette destination undersells. The Joseph, Noelle, and 1 Hotel Nashville are properties that would merit attention in any city. The honky-tonks are still there. The hotels are better than they used to be.

Nashville is the bachelor/bachelorette capital of the United States — the Broadway honky-tonk strip, the pedal taverns, the rooftop bars, and the city's evangelical enthusiasm for celebrating everything make it the obvious choice. The Joseph and Virgin Hotels Nashville are the hotel picks for groups who want a base that matches the quality of the occasion: both have rooftop bars, both have group suite configurations, and both are within walking distance of the Broadway strip. Book the full floor at either property for groups of 10 or more.

Nashville's anniversary hotel is The Hermitage, the 1910 Beaux-Arts landmark that was Nashville's grand hotel for a century and continues to operate with the formality that the building demands. The Capitol Grille restaurant is Nashville's most serious dining room. For a more contemporary anniversary, Noelle's rooftop bar, the neighbourhood's creative energy, and the boutique scale of the property produce a different kind of milestone experience — less grand, more personal.

City Guide
Nashville's peak season is March through May (spring music festivals) and September through November (college football and fall foliage). Summer is hot — highs above 90°F are common in July and August — and the bachelorette group volume is at its highest. December through February is the quietest and cheapest period, with most of the live music venues operating year-round. CMA Fest in June and the Country Music Association Awards in November compress hotel availability significantly.
Downtown (Broadway and the Gulch) is where the honky-tonks and most of the newer hotels are concentrated. The Gulch, immediately south of downtown, is Nashville's design-forward neighbourhood — the Noelle is just north, on Church Street. Germantown, north of downtown, has the neighbourhood restaurants that the locals actually eat at. East Nashville, across the Cumberland River, is the creative district — The Nations and 8th Avenue South are where independent hotels have opened in the past five years.
Nashville rates are more volatile than most US cities because the bachelorette and event calendar drives extreme demand on weekends. A room at The Joseph that costs $300 on a Tuesday can reach $800 on a weekend with a major concert at Nissan Stadium. Book at least 30 days in advance for Friday and Saturday nights. The Nashville Hotel Tax adds 15.25% to published rates.
Nashville is most efficiently explored on foot between downtown and the Gulch, and by rideshare for everything else. The Music Row recording studio district is a 15-minute walk from most downtown hotels and offers a different experience from the Broadway honky-tonk circuit. Dinner reservations at the top restaurants (Chopped House, Adele's, Rolf & Daughters) require 2–3 weeks advance booking. The Country Music Hall of Fame is worth the 90 minutes it takes.
