The pink hotel on Brazilian Avenue since 1947. Jonathan Adler's redesign in 2022 produced Palm Beach's most joyful hotel interior.
The Colony Palm Beach has been Pink since 1947 — a two-story Mediterranean Revival building on Brazilian Avenue that was redesigned by Jonathan Adler in 2022 in a palette of Lilly Pulitzer print, peacock blue, and the specific shade of coral that Palm Beach's postwar leisure culture made its own. The redesign is the most joyful hotel interior in Florida: deliberately maximalist, historically aware, and completely committed to the premise that Palm Beach requires joy rather than restraint.
The 92 rooms occupy the original building and an adjacent building, with the most Adler-influenced rooms in the Landmark building — the corner suites with their Brazilian Avenue views and the most concentrated application of the Colony's design vocabulary. The Polo Bar serves the hotel's cocktail programme in a room that has been the social centre of Palm Beach's season for 75 years.
The Colony's private beach club, accessed via shuttle, operates on the oceanfront and includes the Colony Beach Club's restaurant — the most Palm Beach version of a beach club lunch available on the island.
The Colony anniversary is for couples who find joy specifically romantic — the Jonathan Adler interiors, the pink exterior, and the Polo Bar's season-defining social atmosphere produce an anniversary that is deliberately the opposite of solemnity. The private beach club's anniversary lunch programme is the most photogenic meal in Palm Beach. See all anniversary hotels →
The Colony's Worth Avenue adjacency, the Polo Bar's social atmosphere, and the Jonathan Adler interiors make it the most socially comfortable solo hotel in Palm Beach. A solo season at the Colony — polo matches, Worth Avenue, the private beach — is the most specifically Palm Beach solo experience available. See all solo retreat hotels →
