Why One&Only The Palm for a honeymoon

One&Only The Palm opened in 2010 on the western tip of Palm Jumeirah, one of the most secluded positions on the crescent, with its own private beach reachable only from the resort. There are around 90 rooms, suites and beachfront villas across a low-rise, Andalusian-Moorish-style campus of white stucco and arched courtyards, and the multi-bedroom Manor villas, with private pools and direct beach access, are the honeymoon flagships. The appeal is seclusion and architectural coherence: this is the quiet, design-led alternative to the see-and-be-seen Atlantis end of the Palm. Dining centres on STAY by Yannick Alléno, which holds two Michelin stars in the Dubai Guide (2024 and 2025), the over-water 101 for cocktails, and the Guerlain Spa. The honest caveat: it is a long drive from downtown Dubai and the on-site dining is deliberately small, so this suits couples who want to settle into the resort rather than tour the city. Best for the discreet Dubai honeymoon built around privacy and a private beach.

Best room to request

Manor Beachfront Villa (the multi-bedroom flagship with private pool) or Beachfront Junior Suite for the entry-level beachfront option.

Concierge tip

Book a Manor Beachfront Villa for a multi-day honeymoon, the private pool and direct beach access are the point. Pre-book STAY for the celebration dinner, the Yannick Alléno tasting menu is the standout. On day two, take the resort's complimentary boat shuttle across the bay for a change of scene.

The wider context

One&Only The Palm sits within our broader Top 20 Hotels in Dubai for a Honeymoon list. It scored an aggregate 9.8/10 across the three editorial criteria, competitive against the field but, on a honeymoon-specific factors, the angle above is what earned its rank. For the alternatives in the same Dubai neighbourhood, see Palm Jumeirah, West Crescent and adjacent. For a different city entirely, see the related lists below.

Have firm dates? Our editor's advice is to book roughly twelve weeks in advance. The view-facing suites disappear earliest, and high-season inventory moves on a timescale of months, not weeks. The plunge-pool and terrace suites, the categories that justify this ranking, tend to sell out before anything else.
