La Torre del Canónigo is for a bachelorette that wants the old town itself, not a beach club. It is an intimate Small Luxury Hotels member built into historic buildings inside the walls of Dalt Vila, Ibiza Town's UNESCO-listed citadel, on the hill above the harbour. The appeal is unusual: you sleep within the medieval quarter, and the upper rooms and terraces look straight out over the town and the sea. That position is also the honest catch. Dalt Vila is a steep, cobbled, partly pedestrian hill, so expect stairs and a short walk or buggy ride with luggage, and the hotel is small with no real pool deck or resort facilities. Nightlife is close but not on the doorstep: Pacha and the marina are roughly a ten-to-fifteen-minute walk or a short taxi down the hill. At about €420 a night you are paying for a genuinely rare address. For a small group that values atmosphere and views over space and amenities, it is worth it.
A higher room or suite with a private terrace for the town-and-sea view, or a smaller room lower in the building to keep the rate down.
Take sunset drinks on a terrace before heading out; the view over the old town is the reason to be here. Walk the Dalt Vila ramparts in the cool of the morning, and pack soft-soled shoes for the cobbles. For nightlife, taxi down to Pacha rather than climbing back up on foot at 4am.
