"Performance-rest design, blackout sleep, full Equinox gym access, the body-as-asset business hotel."
Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards opened in 2019 as the Equinox-fitness brand's first hotel, and the operating model is the most-distinctive in Manhattan. The building is engineered around recovery and performance, every room is fully blacked out (the windows have triple-pane blackout glass), the bedding is recovery-grade with cooling sheets, the Wi-Fi is faster than competitors, and every guest receives a credit at the in-house Equinox club (60,000 square feet, the brand's flagship). Two hundred and twelve rooms, all with desk-grade workspace, all with floor-to-ceiling Hudson Yards skyline views. The Spa by Equinox runs cryotherapy, normatec, and Iv-drip recovery treatments designed for jet-lagged executives. Electric Lemon (the rooftop restaurant on the 24th floor) handles the after-meeting dinner. Equinox is the right pick for the business trip where recovery is part of the job: the multi-day swing with morning calls across three time zones, the executive who treats the gym as meeting prep, the traveler who wants to land sharp rather than jet-lagged. The Hudson Yards location is right for the new-economy meeting (the adjacent towers hold KKR, BlackRock-Hudson-Yards, Wells Fargo, and the Related Companies offices).
Equinox Suite (the entry-level suite) or Penthouse Suite for the corner-tower flagship.
Use the Equinox club, the credit included in the room is genuinely useful, and the cryotherapy session before a major meeting is a real performance lever. Electric Lemon's 24th-floor rooftop bar is the after-meeting space; the southwest table has the Statue-of-Liberty-direction view.
Equinox Hotel Hudson Yards sits within our broader Top 20 Hotels in New York for Business list. It scored an aggregate 9.5/10 across the three editorial criteria, competitive against the field but, on business-specific factors, the angle above is what earned its rank. For the alternatives in the same New York neighbourhood, see Hudson Yards and adjacent. For a different city entirely, see the related lists below.
Have firm dates? Our editor's advice is to book roughly twelve weeks in advance. The view-facing suites disappear earliest, and high-season inventory moves on a timescale of months, not weeks. Suites with a private plunge pool or terrace, the very rooms behind this rank, usually vanish first.
