"Madison Square Park, executive lounge with skyline view, Nubeluz bar by José Andrés."
The Ritz-Carlton NoMad opened in 2022 in the new West 28th Street tower, the Marriott group's most-recent Manhattan flagship and the only Ritz-Carlton in the city below 50th Street. Two hundred and fifty rooms across fifty floors, the Club-Level executive lounge on the 50th floor with a private breakfast service and skyline panoramic views. The asset is the NoMad neighbourhood — between the Flatiron and Madison Square Park, the working district for the new tech-and-media economy and the right meeting point for clients south of the East 30s. Nubeluz (the rooftop bar by José Andrés) is the working after-meeting room on the 50th floor; the bar opened with the hotel and quickly became the most-booked rooftop in midtown. ZAYTINYA (also José Andrés) is the in-house Mediterranean restaurant. The Ritz-Carlton NoMad is the right pick for the business trip where the meetings are in the Flatiron or NoMad clusters (most-tech-startups, much of the new advertising economy, the Madison Square Garden management) and the brand recognition of Ritz-Carlton matters for points-loyalty bookings.
Club Suite (with Club Lounge access) or Empire State View Suite for the panoramic skyline orientation.
Use the Club Lounge — the 50th-floor breakfast (6am-10am) is the working start to the day, and the breakfast room itself is rentable for small client meetings. Nubeluz at 7pm is the after-meeting rooftop; the corner banquette books out — request it 48 hours ahead.
The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad sits within our broader Top 20 Hotels in New York for Business list. It scored an aggregate 9.6/10 across the three editorial criteria — competitive against the field but, on business-specific factors, the angle above is what earned its rank. For the alternatives in the same New York neighbourhood, see NoMad, Madison Square and adjacent. For a different city entirely, see the related lists below.
If you have already chosen the dates, our editor recommends booking the room twelve weeks ahead. The best suites with the right view orientation go first, and inventory for the popular months is quoted in months, not weeks. Suite-level rooms with private plunge pools or terraces — the ones that earn this rank — are typically the first to sell out.
